Mantra when your feeling down.

I was chatting with a dear friend this morning when she said she felt that she had lost her self confidence. This suprised me. I NEVER would have suspected that.


I started to remember a time when I had felt that way.. a LONG, LONG time ago..

Just after my divorce. Before I jumped into the dating pool, before I went to college.


I spent years married... never really worked... never had anything that made me feel bad about myself.. either by my own thoughts or by the way I was treated by others. Newly separated... Friends, mine before marriage now choosing HIM to remain friends with.

Family, who might not say it but through looks make you FEEL like you are at fault.

Work/School where you suddenly have social situations you are not prepared as a sudden single to cope with....


Well, to shorten my long story... I was sitting in psych class one evening.. wondering what the hell I was doing and where I was going with my life and if I really had the strength to pick myself up and basically start over.


And in my one gleaming moment of self-awareness (and believe me I dont do this often) I created this .. what i call My Mantra ... and found it worked.. worked tremendously for me..

and I want to share it....




you MUST say it as soon as you open your eyes in the morning... when you close your eyes to sleep at night....
the first week you must say it to yourself hourly....
the second week you must say it to yourself every 3 hours...
the third week you must say it to yourself every 6 hours...
and the fourth week you must go outside and yell it at the top of your voice ...
 
 
 
: I am a wonderful and unique person. Anyone who does not realize that is an idiot. Anyone who does not see it is blind!
 
AND you HAVE to say it .. And I do mean first and last thing each day.. and on the schedule ..
by week 2 you start believing it... by the end of week 3 you KNOW it is true... and after that it is all self-realization/revelation ....
